Transsiberian is one of the best examples of an overlooked gem. A hugely enjoyable and incredibly unpredictable flick with an outstanding cast. Woody Harrelson & Emily Mortimer portray a young couple who are trying to enjoy a ride along Russia’s Transsiberian Railroad. They soon cross paths with another young couple (Eduardo Noriega & Kate Mara) who are a little bit creepy and obviously hiding a dark secret. At this point you may believe that you have this movie pegged. Another bog-standard thriller about a couple terrorizing another couple. You couldn’t be more wrong! From the moment you realise your mistake, the twists just keep on coming and they never relent until the final frame. Also starring Sir Ben Kingsley in fine form as usual.
