I approve! Especially of a certain Ryu covered book.
Love cover art!
The cover for 'Beautiful Waste'- it's elegant, isn't it?. I like it a lot because of the contrast between the monochromatic , washed out colour and the intricate 3D design of the tree in the centre.
'The Bell at Sealey Head'- gorgeous colour; Renaissance style, quite Titian isn't it? I had to look twice because I wasn't sure for a second if it was replicating the style or from an original.
'V'- the red and black cover: that's great; striking. A lot like the old underground comic masters with all the shadow.
Similarly, 'Stairway To Hell' - I want to open that book and see what it's about.
'Street Fighter'- not my thing at all as a genre!, but I have to acknowledge that the art work, for what it is, is very well done. the expression on the guys face; man he's a mean, fightin' dude.
The other McComb- 'Vagabond Holes', great sketch; remknds me of a Christopher Isherwood cover , but can't remember which one. I'll have to check out who did his two covers or how much say McComb had, because they work so well.
